Originally from Osaka, Japan, Chiaki’s passion for travel and exploring new cultures has taken her around the globe. She has lived and worked in Australia, Canada, and England, gaining a wealth of diverse experiences before settling in Niseko in 2020. Chiaki’s extensive background in the travel and snow sports industries makes her an excellent addition to the Client Success team at RoomBoss. Recently, she relocated to Hakuba, where she continues to enjoy an adventure-filled lifestyle surrounded by nature while supporting our users with dedication and expertise. Chiaki enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities, including snowboarding, hiking, and surfing. She also loves spending quality time with her two adorable fluffy dogs who are always up for an adventure. We’re thrilled to announce that Ben has joined our team as our new Project Manager! Ben brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as the head of a system development team for one of Niseko’s largest management companies. He has also worked as a Project Manager and Scrum Master for a team of 28 developers in Australia. With his deep understanding of ski tourism​ and tourism systems​, Ben is a perfect fit for our team. Outside of work, Ben is a proud father of two daughters and an avid snowboarder. He also enjoys basketball and is a movie enthusiast, particularly fond of Marvel Cinematic Universe films. We’re excited to have Ben on board and can’t wait to see the positive impact he’ll make on our projects and team. Welcome, Ben!

A recent system change to help manage which users can charge against credit card tokens stored in the system. Until now, it has been possible for any user with Manage Bookings permission to charge against credit card tokens. A new permission, Charge To Token is now required to do so. User permissions can be managed by Super Admin users in the User page. To learn more on Credit Card Tokenisation in RoomBoss, pelease see here.

We've added a new Super Admin role. It's a quick and easy way to provide a user in your account with access to all system features, including management of other users. Available on the Users page in RB.

It's now possible to give customers two options to pay online for your services. For example, pair options such as Flywire (where customers pay in their currency) and Stripe (where customers pay in your currency). More information is available on our help site.

We've launched a new Channel Manager Dashboard to easily monitor what room types and rate plans are connected to each OTA. It's also possible to download the connection state as an Excel spreadsheet. Coming next for the Channel Manager Dashboard is a feature to help manage the linking of rate plans with OTAs.
